Geboren in 1972 te Seoul, Zuid-Korea
Groeide op in de VS in Illinois vanaf haar tweede jaar.
Opleiding aan de University of Illinois, Angel Academy of Art in Florence (Italië),
Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, Waichulis Studio in Mocanaque (VS).

Kate Sammons is een opkomende Amerikaanse realistisch werkende eigentijdse kunstenaar die het humanistische onderwerp in haar schilderijen laat terugkomen,
vaak boordevol symboliek. Haar opleiding omvatte klassieke 19de-eeuwse academische methoden, portretten en trompe l'oeil techniek.
Ze heeft verscheidene internationale onderscheidingen ontvangen voor haar portretten en stillevens.
Kate werkt zowel in kleur met olieverf en pastel als in zwart/wit met houtskool.
